Gustav Stickley Spindled Arm Rocker F368

Description

This is a good antique Gustav Stickley large spindled, high back rocker from the early 1900’s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in very good condition.

The piece is made of excellent quarter sawn oak with a good original finish.

The chair has superb form with spindles at the back and sides and a very high back, reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright pieces.

Two spindles at the back are slightly warped as pictured.

The arms are supported by corbels, there are pins at the top and bottom, and there are through tenons at the front and back.

The spring seat is covered in chocolate brown leather and the chair is signed with a red decal.
