Description
This is a rare antique Palace size Turkish Serapi oriental rug made in the 1910s to 1920s.
It is in good condition.
The rug has 100% wool pile that is mostly even-low with some lower areas and a few minor spots re-woven as pointed out in the photos.
The sides are complete and the ends are missing only a row or two.
The piece has a superb central medallion design with great ivory corners and an excellent border.
It has a very desirable Serapi design with great Turkish colors.
The rug comes in a very rare and impressive size.
It is extremely decorative and collectible.
