Superb Stickley Bros. Chair circa 1901-1902 W1829
This is a good example of when stickley brothers had an important designer very similar to Gustav Stickley. Stickley Brothers Company in Grand Rapids. Louise Shrimpton is the prominent notable designer who joined the broader Stickley workshops in 1902. This designer worked with them for 2-3 years. He used the same through tannin construction that Gustav did. After they realized that people were copying this design and doing it without the actual work Stickley Brothers started doing it the easy way as well.
The wood is very beautiful and the design is great with heart shaped cutouts.
