This is a Superb & Rare Early Gustav Stickley 1901 Two Door Bookcase.
This bookcase is super rare from 1901 and it is in pristine original condition.
The bookcase has an extremely beautiful design and it is the earliest bookcase that Gustav Stickley made.
The bookcase is model number 525. The case was crafted with a through tenon and key construction and the doors were crafted with a mullion construction. (See Pictures) Each door has 8 individual panes of glass and no just one big piece.
The cabinet has the original hardware and in the pictures, they look polished, but it is just the lighting. The hardware has a nice patina to them. The finish is a great original fume black. ((Please take note that it is hard to take pictures of fume black and the finish looks much nicer in person!))
This case is extremely heavy with very thick boards, through tenons, and keys.
The bookcase has a beautiful tall gallery on the top.
