This is a Superb Antique L&jG Stickley Large Rocking Armchair with Slats from the early 1900s. The chair is in very good condition and it has the original finish which is in good shape. The chair has a beautiful form with corbels under the arms and slats on the sides. The chair is double pinned on the bottom and also on the backrest. The chair has a nice selection of quarter sawn oak and it is also marked with an early L&jG Stickley marking. (See Pictures) The original spring seat has been recovered with a top quality black hand-rubbed leather filled with cotton and hair. (Not Cheap Foam) The springs have been professionally adjusted which makes this a very comfortable chair to sit on.
