This is a great quality antique Persian Mahageran Sarough Oriental rug from the 1890s in good condition.

The rug has 100% wool, hand knotted pile that is full throughout with no low areas.

The sides are complete and the ends have wear on one side as is pointed out in the pictures.

The rug is superb Mahageran quality with a fine weave and great, vibrant dyes.

There is one closed tear in the border that is pointed out in the pictures.

The rug is extremely decorative and impressive and is still usable despite its drawbacks.
