Description
This is a superb antique L&JG Stickley rocking chair from the early 1900’s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in excellent condition.
The chair is made of excellent quarter sawn oak with a light original finish.
The rocker has a very desirable form with six slats on each side.
The arms have pinned through tenons and are corbelled.
The original spring seat is present and is covered with original leather that has wear and a couple tears but could be restored.
We can have the chair professionally recovered with high quality, hand rubbed leather for a small fee.
There are double pins at the top and bottom.
The chair is signed with a decal under one arm.
This an excellent example of a very desirable L&JG Stickley high back rocker.
