Description
This is a fantastic early rare Limbert bookcase from the early 1900’s in very good condition.
The piece is signed with the early Limbert paper label (not the later brand).
There are shelves on the sides, a gallery on top, and great cutouts.
The door’s glass is original as is the hardware.
The piece is numbered “16”. There are 3 fixed shelves.
The piece has an old refinish and has great quarter sawn oak.
As you can see in the pictures there is a small hole of less than an inch in diameter in the lower back.
This is fairly minor and stable and easily disguised with?a piece of black tape on the back (it was used to run an electric cord for a lamp inside the case).
This is a very rare piece with excellent form.
