This is a vintage Karastan rug from the 1990s. Excellent condition with no wear in Persian Kazvin design. This is made by the original Karastan company.. The quality is much better than a rug from the current Karastan company.
The rug in in very good condition, but there is a 14 inch discoloration on one of the corners. We don’t see this as very noticeable, but we can replace the complete fringe with a new, American made fringe (for a fee, of course… Call us for a quote.
When Karastan made “Palace Size” rugs, they would join two smaller rugs (in this case, two 9 x 12 rugs). This allowed them to make many sizes.

On every rug we sell on eBay we make sure the two sides are with no wear on the seam. And if we find a rug has wear on the two sides, we do it by hand. We do not use serging machine, we do it by hand.
This rug is machine made on a loom but the Karastan company made the sides by hand, so we do the same.
