Karpen Settle With Cutouts W1322

Description

This is a superb antique Karpen settle or settee from the early 1900’s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in very good condition.

The piece is made of excellent quarter sawn oak with a good original finish. It has superb nearly cubic form with 3/4 drop arms and a slanted back.

The sides feature square cutouts and feet at the base. It has the original spring seat and has been recovered in rust colored textured vinyl in usable condition.

The piece can be recovered with leather if you prefer.

The settee is very heavy and well made with 1.25″ boards.

This is a rare and decorative piece in unusually good condition.
