Description
This is a superb rare Gustav Stickley settee from the early 1900’s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in very good condition.
The piece is made of good quarter sawn oak with an excellent original finish.
It features superb original leather all around with all the original brass tacks present.
The leather has great color and is mostly in good, usable condition.
There are several weak spots and shallow tears as you can see in the pictures.
The leather has been reinforced with leather backing as you can see in the pictures and is currently stable.
The settee has great, rare form and is double pinned at the top and bottom and pinned at other joints.
There is a great horizontally oriented large keyed through tenon at the sides as well.
The piece is sturdy and strong and is signed with an early box-in-box red decal.
This is a highly collectible and extremely decorative piece in with rare original leather.
