Early Gustav Stickley Bed Frame. W1419

Description

This is a superb and rare antique Gustav Stickley bed frame from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in excellent condition.  The piece is made of fantastic quartersawn oak with an superb original, green-tinted finish.  The bed is extremely heavy and well made of 1 & 1/8 inch boards and 2.75 inch square posts.  The bed has unusual form with an exaggerated arch at the top and bottom with 3 wide slats in between.  There are interior corbels on the posts and it is double pinned at the top and bottom.  The bed is signed with a paper label and has very rare form inspired by Harvey Elllis designs.  This is a highly collectible piece in unusually good and original condition.  The price is for one bed.  We do have a pair, both in EXCELLENT shape and PERFECT original finish.
