Early Harden Settle & Arm Chair F6834

Description

This is a fantastic set of Harden furniture from the early 1900’s consisting of an arm chair and a large settle in very good condition.

The pair are extremely bulky and heavy with very?thick quarter sawn oak construction like the early pieces.

The settle’s arms are 1.25″ thick and the chair’s arms are 1″ thick.

The original spring seats have been professionally recovered with high quality, hand rubbed leather over cotton fill.

The settle has curved back posts and?very wide, paddle arms.

Both pieces have great slatted sides and backs.

The settle has an unusual middle leg which enhances its bulky appearance.

Both pieces are extremely heavy?and sturdy.

The chair has corbelled and pinned arms.

Both are in very good condition with no?significant damage and great golden coloration.
