This is an Antique Superb Rare Stickley Brothers Log Holder from the early 1900's.
This log holder is in excellent condition and it is from the early Stickley Brothers period.
The log holder has nice straps on the inside and decorations on the two sides that look like they are all brass.
The log holder also has the two original handles which look like they are iron. The piece was made with an excellent selection of quarter sawn oak and it also has a fantastic looking original fume black finish. (The piece looks much nicer in person! The fume black finish is very difficult to take pictures of.)
The bottom has the original model number and also the nail where the oval paper label used to be. (See Pictures) This is one of the nicest Stickley Brother pieces we have found in our 30 years of buying and selling Stickley furniture we also have a lamp table and a mag/ book stand from that early year.
PLEASE NOTE: We offer only period furniture all the stickleys, Limbert and other makers from the early 1900.
Just look on ebay listing, 9 out 10 listing they call "Stickley" has nothing to do with Stickley, a man by the name Audi bought the name and made look alike furniture with NO thru tenon just fake parts for decoration to fool the buyer.
