This is an Antique Palace Size Kashan Rug from the late 1800's.
This is a great rug that has a great weave and is in very good condition.
The rug is more or less complete with nothing missing to the ends or the sides. There is some minor wear on the edge of the sides of the rug. (See Pictures)
We are going to loop wool around these parts and the rug will look much nicer.
This rug is made with Manchester Wool which is the best wool that rugs can be made from.
This rug has a beautiful blue abrash and this is the process of antique die becoming more mellow/lighter over the years.
Most people like this color change and also the pattern it makes on the rug.
Also, this rug is not worn out like most palace size rugs from this time period and it can be used for many years to come.
We shampoo all of our rugs and we do it the same way for the cheap ones as we do the expensive ones. We do not include these cost in the price, but sometimes the buyer thinks the rugs are not clean. Most dealers that sell rugs will tell you to have it cleaned when you receive it, but we clean our rugs before they are shipped. If you think that the rug smells or needs to be cleaned when you receive it you will need to send it to a rug cleaner in your area.
