Antique Persian-Heriz Rug in good con. Circa 1890s natural dyes – RR5034

$ 5,900

Antique Per-Heriz Rug circa 1890s in Good Condition even low pile.

This is a great antique Per. Rug from the turn of the 20th century. It is in good condition with great colors especially in the wide border.  The background color is “faded rust.”  and not with harsh new colors on new Heriz Persian oriental rugs.
One unique characteristic of hand-spun yarn is that the yarn is of different diameters because it is not made with a machine and therefore it holds the same color differently in different places. This variation in color, shades, and hues that one gets to see when the hand-spun yarn is used in a carpet is known as Abrash (pronounced ‘Ah-brash’) effect. This effect is very desirable to many people.
Make the colors a design much nicer.
PLEASE NOTE: This rug is a PERIOD Persian rug and NOT reproduction in China, India or Pakistan.
This rug is just about complete with missing few rows and the  two sides are complete. If you have Gustav Stickley furniture, it will look great on this color and type of rug.
