Description

This is a great looking j. M Young settle model number 274 mission Arts
and Crafts era from the early 1900s in excellent condition.
Made out of SUPERB selection of oak great original finish and color.
The original spring seat is recover with top quality black leather with
100% cotton and hair fill( no with cheap foam) unmarked.
The four post made with quarter linear construction (see pictures) and
pinned which make it STURDY and STRONG.
you can see this settle on page 52 in reprint j. M catalog by M.E clark
and Jill clark.
NOTE: J. M. Young made Arts&Crafts furniture for L&jG STICKLEY around
after 1915 and often you can see the very same settle mark L&jG Stickley.
