This is a superb antique L&JG Stickley drop arm Morris chair from the early 1900’s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in excellent condition.
The chair is a very rare and desirable form and is extremely large and bulky.
It is made of solid quarter sawn oak with an excellent original finish.
There are double through tenons on the front and back of the arms and it is double pinned at the front and back. There are through tenons on the front and back as well.
There are slats on the sides and the arms are corbelled.
The original spring seat and the back cushion have been professionally recovered with high quality, hand rubbed leather.
It is signed with the early red decal on the back.
