This is a great looking antique L&JG Stickley Magazine & Book Stand made in the early 1900s. The bookstand is in excellent condition with a great selection of quarter-sawn oak and the beautiful original finish. No repairs or replaced parts.
Please note: Most “Stickley” and “Charles Limbert” items and many Roycroft items online are reproductions, or outright fakes. For example, in 1974 a man named Alfred Audi, along with his wife Aminy, approached the widow of Leo Stickley before she passed. He purchased the L&JG Stickley company, along with the brand name “L&JG Stickley,” and he manufactured furniture “In The Style” of the original Stickley work. Be careful of buyers who describe their items as being from a “Stickley School.” This is just a way to get you to believe the item is actually authentic, original Stickley. In most cases, it is not.
