Description:
This is a superb antique Caucasian Oriental rug from the mid-1800's in
excellent condition. The rug has no wear and no reweaving. The sides and
ends are complete. One end used to have a short killim fringe. This has
been removed, the end straightened, and both ends professionally Persian
overcast. The hand knotted 100% wool pile is in excellent condition and
is even with no wear spots. The foundation is also wool. The rug is very
soft and flexible. The rug has a fantastic color combination and is one
of the nicest Caucasian rugs we have ever offered for sale. It is in
extremely rare condition and is highly decorative and collectible.
