Description:
This is a superb and rare antique Gustav
Stickley large slatted Morris chair from the early 1900s Mission and
Arts & Crafts period in excellent condition. The chair is made of superb
quarter sawn oak with an excellent original finish and great color. The
chair has very desirable form with 5 slats under each arm and two pinned
through tenons on all four posts. The arms are supported by pinned
corbels and have pinned through tenons at the front and back. The back
is pinned as well and the chair is extremely heavy and sturdy. The
cushions have been recovered in high quality leather. This is a highly
collectible piece in unusually good and original condition.
