Description:
This is an unusual antique Arts & Crafts
settee or large window seat from the early 1900s Mission period in good
condition. The piece is made of oak with an old refinish. It has unusual
form with an oversized crest rail and four slats on each side. It is
sturdy and strong through it does have general roughness, some minor
staining, slight seam separation to boards at the seat, and a large chip
to one slat. Despite these drawbacks, the piece is very usable and
decorative.
