Description:
This is a superb antique Gustav Stickley
large drop front desk from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts
period in very good condition. The piece is made of excellent quarter
sawn oak with a good original finish. It has desirable form with a
gallery at the top and cutouts at the sides. There are exposed through
tenons at the top and bottom of the sides and there are pins at the top
and bottom. There are original hammered iron pulls with their original
patina. The interior is intact and includes a key for the locking
cabinet. The piece is signed with a red decal as well as paper label as
pictured. The desk is highly decorative and usable as well as being a
desirable collectible.
