Description:
This is a nice antique L&JG Stickley drop
front desk from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in very
good condition. The piece is made of superb quarter sawn oak with an
excellent original finish. It has great bulky form and is signed with a
decal as pictured. The legs feature exposed through tenons and the lower
shelf is mortised through the stretchers as well. There are plenty of
cubby holes inside and excellent drawer space. The original key is
present. There are a few rings on the top and one pull appears to have
been replaced but is barely noticeable. The piece is sturdy and has a
strong drop front. The desk is very decorative and is a great, versatile
size.
