Description:
This is a superb early Gustav Stickley
magazine stand from the 1901 to 1902 early Mission and Arts & Crafts
period. The stand is made of chestnut and appears to have an old
refinish with good color. It has great form with an overhanging top with
reverse bevel, cutouts at the bottom and paneled sides. It has double
pinned joinery at the top and bottom and there are flush through tenons
at the bottom. The piece is sturdy and strong and is signed with a large
early red decal. This is a rare piece that is highly decorative and very
collectible.
