Description:
This is a good antique Lifetime drop leaf
table from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in good
condition. The piece is made of superb quarter sawn oak with an old
refinish. It is very well made with pinned through tenons at the top and
bottom of each post. There is a unique revolving mechanism underneath
which allows the top to be spun to one side, enabling the leaves to be
deployed and fully supported by the base. The table comes in a great
large size and is very decorative and usable. There are some old repairs
to the top which include the parabola-shaped patches along one edge and
filled divots near the same location. These issues blend in well at
first glance and are clearly pictured.
