Description:
This is a superb antique Gustav Stickley
hall bench from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in
excellent condition. The piece is made of fantastic quarter sawn oak
with a superb original finish with great reddish-brown color. The bench
is extremely heavy and well made and features a front seat rail that is
a single board 9" wide. The rest of the stock is 1" thick and the back
is paneled. There are excellent cutouts at the top and each side has 5
pinned through tenons. The piece has no damage and is as close to mint
as we have seen. This is a rare and collectible piece that is also
usable and highly decorative. It is signed with a brand as pictured.
