Description:
This is a good antique L&JG Stickley settle
from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in very good
condition. The piece is made of good quarter sawn oak with a nice
original finish. It has slats at the back and a V-shaped crest rail. It
is pinned all over and has exposed through tenons on the arms and
corbels under the arms. The piece is very thick and heavy and has an
original spring seat covered in vinyl. The vinyl is usable as is or we
can recover it for a small fee. The settle is model #262 and is signed
with an early red decal as pictured.
