Description:
This is a superb antique Gustav Stickley
drop arm Morris chair from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts
period in very good condition. The chair is made of excellent quarter
sawn oak with an overcoated finish. It has superb and desirable form
with 5 slats under drop arms. The arms are supported by pinned corbels
at the front and back and there are pinned through tenons at the front
and back as well. Each post has two through tenons that are pinned and
there are pins at the back as well. The upholstery has been redone in
red leather over a drop in seat. The piece is model #369 and has a
possible shadow of a decal on the back as pictured. This is a highly
collectible and usable piece.
