Description:
This is a superb antique L&JG Stickley cube
rocker from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in
excellent condition. The piece is made of superb quarter sawn oak with
an excellent original finish. It has excellent cubic form, featuring
slats on the sides and back. Each posts has two pinned through tenons
and the chair is pinned at the top as well. The original spring seat has
been professionally recovered with high quality leather. The chair is
unmarked but does have a Flint & Horner tag, a retailer of L&JG Stickley
furniture. This is a very bulky and desirable piece in unusually good
condition.
