Description:
This is a superb early antique Gustav
Stickley lunch table from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts
period in very good condition. The piece is made of excellent quarter
sawn oak with a good original finish on the base and wear on the top
with some color added. The top has some staining as pictured but the
base is mint. The piece has excellent bulky form (stretchers are 1"
thick) with large, exposed through tenons on the posts and keyed through
tenons on the stretchers. The legs are double pinned at the bottom and
pinned at the top. The table is a great versatile size and has superb
color. It is signed with an early large red decal from 1902 and is model
#424. This is a highly decorative and collectible antique despite its
small drawbacks.
