Description:
This is an antique Charles Stickley large
rocker from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in good
condition. The piece has a large and bulky appearance with 2" x 4" front
posts. It is made of quarter sawn oak with an ebonized or painted black
finish. The rocker has a desirable form with many exposed through
tenons, wide paddle arms, a U-shaped crest rail, and slats at the back.
The original spring seat is present and has old green upholstery. The
seat is usable as is or we can recover it for you in leather for a small
fee. The chair is unusual and decorative and is unmarked.
