Description:
This is a superb antique L&JG Stickley
Morris rocker from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in
very good condition. The piece is made of excellent quarter sawn oak
with an original finish. It has excellent form with pinned, exposed
through tenons at the front and back of the arms as well as corbelled
supports. There are double pins at the front and the back and the front
seat rail has the characteristic L&JG Stickley bevel. The original
adjustment bar is present and the cushions have been recovered with good
leather. The rocker is signed with a decal as pictured. This is very
desirable and comfortable chair.
