Description:
This is a unique antique Tobey Furniture
large lamp table or library table from the early 1900's Mission and
Arts & Crafts period
in very good condition. The piece is made of excellent quarter sawn oak
with a dark original finish. It has very unusual and interesting form
with a double apron, round, tapered legs, and shaped cross stretchers.
It is very thick and heavy and is well made. It is numbered 4871 but is
unsigned. This was likely made by Gustav Stickley for Tobey Furniture
before he opened his own shop. This is an exotic table in an unusual size in very good
condition.
