Description:
This is a superb antique Gustav Stickley
drop front desk from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in
very good condition. The desk is made of fantastic quarter sawn oak with
an excellent original finish. The piece has excellent, bulky form with 3
drawers under the drop front and many interior dividers for papers. It
sits on original casters and features excellent hammered iron pulls with
their original patina. The piece is sturdy and strong and has no issues
except for a few very minor repaired veneer chips along the edge of the
extending top. It is signed with an early red decal inside one drawer
and with a paper label on the back. This is an excellent example of this
form and is highly decorative and collectible.
