Description:
This is a very good antique Harden rocker
from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in very good
condition. The piece is made of good quarter sawn oak with an original
finish. It has good and desirable form with long slats on the sides and
back, wavy arms and a double crest rail. The piece is double pinned at
the top and bottom and is very thick and heavy. The original spring seat
is present and covered in a patterned fabric. The seat can be used as is
or we can recover it in leather for a small fee. There is a remnant of a
paper label as pictured. This is an excellent example of this form.
