Description:
This is a rare, early antique L&JG Stickley
Onondaga Shop bookcase from the early 1900s in very good condition. The
piece is made of chestnut and has a good finish with excellent color. It
has unusual form and is extremely well made. The side and back are
chamfered and the door features individually paned glass. The door frame
is pinned at every joint and double pinned at the top and bottom. The
bookcase has a great tall gallery at the top and has corbelled supports
at the bottom. The original hammered copper escutcheon is present and
the piece is model #318. This is a rare, collectible piece and a great
usable form. We may be getting a matching bookcase if you are
interested.
