Description:
This is a superb early antique Gustav Stickley wide 2 door bookcase from
1902 in excellent condition. The piece is made of extremely thick
quarter sawn oak with an excellent original finish with great color. The
piece has extremely desirable form and is unusually wide for a 2 door
bookcase. There are mitered mullions with individually paned glass in
the two doors which have no cracks or damage. There are original hand
hammered copper ring pulls with pyramid tacks with their original
patina. The top and bottom of the sides have double exposed through
tenons. It is pinned at the top and bottom and the back is chamfered.
Each section has 3 fixed shelves and the piece has no damage. It is
signed with a large red, 1902 decal as pictured. This is a rare and
collectible piece that is highly decorative and impressive.
