Description:
This is a superb antique early Gustav
Stickley single door bookcase from the early 1900s Mission and Arts &
Crafts period in very good condition. The piece is made of extremely
thick (1.25" boards) quarter sawn oak with a nice old refinish. The
piece has superb form with mitered mullions and a chamfered back. There
are large, double keyed through tenons at the top and bottom of the
sides and a tall gallery at the top. The original glass is present as is
the original hardware. There are 3 fixed shelves and the bookcase comes
in a great smaller size. The piece is signed with a large early red
decal from 1902. This is a great decorative collectible piece with a
classic Mission look.
