Description:
This is a superb antique Gustav Stickley drop
front desk from the early 1900's in excellent condition. The desk has a
great original finish over very thick oak boards. It is bulky and large
like the early Gustav pieces. It has large original wooden pulls and
original hardware with no damage. There are nice cutouts at the side
bottoms and a finished back. The inside has a paper holder at the back
(there is a remnant of some kind of paper label on the inside back as
you see in the picture). The desk has a large lower shelf and a short
gallery on top. It is signed with a 3" red decal on the back. This is an
excellent rare piece in unusually good condition, making it highly
collectible.
