Description:
This is an interesting and
unique antique Arts & Crafts era side chair from the early 1900's in
very good condition. The chair is reminiscent of the Mackintosh style
with its unusual oval back. There is nice quarter sawn oak with an
original finish with good color. Construction is very good with pins all
around the top, bottom, front, back, and sides. The drop in seat has
been professionally recovered with high quality hand rubbed leather over
cotton webbing with cotton fill. The piece has a few rough edges but has
excellent form.
