Description:
This is a nice early antique L&JG
Stickley library table from the early 1900's Mission and Arts & Crafts
period in good condition. The table is made of fantastic quarter sawn
oak with a good original finish with a deep reddish color. There is some
minor wear to the finish on the top as well as a dark area on the lower
shelf--we can remove most of this. There are two drawers with original
hand hammered pulls. The top is splined in several places and the bottom
shelf has double keyed through tenons. The legs also have exposed
through tenons and the piece is pinned all around. The table is signed
with the early red L&JG Stickley decal. It is sturdy and strong and
comes in a very usable size.
