Description:
This is a rare early
Limbert large armchair from the early 1900's in very good condition. The
piece has a good original finish over excellent quarter sawn oak with
minor wear from normal use on the back and arms. The chair is very thick
and heavy and has a very unique and desirable design. There are wide low
stretchers and extremely long corbels on the arms. This is a rare,
collectible piece and is signed with the Limbert brand under one arm and
numbered. The cushion has been professionally recovered with high
quality, hand rubbed leather with cotton fill. The cushion is very thick
and heavy itself to match the chair. There is some minor variance in the
wood at the top of the back slats as you can see in the pictures.
