Description:
This is very nice antique Stickley Brothers large
arm chair from the early 1900's in very good condition. The chair is
made of mahogany and has its original finish. The piece has great
construction that is very bulky and includes mortised through tenons on
the front and sides and pins on the front and sides. There are excellent
slats on both sides. The arms are very wide and have a slight curvature.
There is some minor wear and scratches from normal use. The back has a
nice curve and is sturdy and strong. The cushions have been recovered
with high quality leather with cotton fill and the seat cushion sits on
cotton webbing. This is one of the most comfortable chairs we have ever
sold. The chair is signed with the metal "Quaint" Stickley Brothers tag
and is overall a great piece.
