Description:
This is a good antique L&JG Stickley large
armchair from the early 1900's Mission and Arts & Crafts period in very
good condition. The piece is made of thick quarter sawn oak with a good
original finish that is very thin on the arms. The arms are sharply
angled and are corbelled with exposed through tenons on top. The back is
slatted and the front seat rail has a slight arch. It is double pinned
at the top and bottom and the original spring seat has been
professionally recovered with burgundy leather. It is signed with an
early red decal as pictured.
