Description:
This is a nice antique Michigan Chair
Company library table from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts
period in good condition. The piece is made of superb quarter sawn oak
with a newer fumed finish. The table has unusual form with tapered and
canted legs and curved cutouts all around. The legs feature keyed
through tenons and the central stretcher also has keyed through tenons.
The piece is signed with a paper label as pictured. The top does have 8
small filled holes (4 each on two corners) as you can see in the
pictures. They blend in well and do not detract from the piece's overall
appearance and functionality. The table is sturdy and strong and has a
unique look.
