Description:
This is a superb antique L&JG Stickley
settee or small settle from the early 1900's in excellent condition. The
piece is made of fantastic quarter sawn oak with an original finish with
great color. It has a large and bulky form with an excellent design. The
crest rail is U-shaped and the back is slatted. It is double pinned at
the top and pinned on the front and sides. The arms have pinned, exposed
through tenons and are corbelled. The front seat rail has the distinct
L&JG Stickley bevel. The original spring cushion is present with good
old leather in very good condition. There is a remnant of the L&JG
Stickley decal as pictured. This is a very sturdy and decorative piece.
