Description:
This is an exceptional antique Gustav Stickley
chest of drawers designed by Harvey Ellis in the early 1900's in very
good condition. The piece is extremely rare and collectible and has
great, rare form. There are 6 small drawers over 3 large all with
original pulls. The sides are tapered and the bottom apron has a very
pronounced curve. The drawers are dovetailed and numbered. The piece is
made of fantastic quarter sawn oak with excellent figure in the grain.
The finish is original with great, reddish color with some minor
cleaning on the middle-front of the 3 large drawers. It sits on original
wood casters. There is pinned construction on the bottom and the back is
paneled. It is signed with a huge (2.75") red Gustav Stickley decal on
the back. This is a rare and highly desirable piece.
