Description:
This is a very unusual antique American
Folk Art hand carved and painted box from the 1800's in very good
condition. The piece appears to be all original with nearly all of its
original paint intact. There is one small chip out of the top (pictured)
and other minor signs of use, but the box is in very good condition
considering its age. There is a small hinged compartment inside and the
latch appears to be original. The design and red and gold paint scheme
suggest a Mason influence. This is a very decorative and unusual piece.
